I love the song "My favorite things"
really a great song

Just noticed that when maria confesses that she sang and Mother Superior says that the rule about not singing applies only to within the Abby. Well all the Nuns including Mother Superior are always singing in the Abby though out the show. You would think the script writers would have caught that and and changed it to only inappropriaite times.

@cinderooo Fun Fact, the movie is based on this play.
This is closer to the "Real" Thing than the movie.
So how about rewording it to say "Can't anyone get the Movie and not the play version?"

I'm playing Sister Berthe in a local production, and though it's a small part, it's a fun one, and this serves as a great help in envisioning the play. Nice job, guys! :)

@brittadominguez3 Oy, someone certainly is defensive =( The music was lovely, I commended them there.
It is my opinion that their acting leaves much to be desired. I understand day-time obligations; the theatre group I am a part of is the same way in lack of time and funding, except we only have a few highschool students helping, not an entire community.
So please do not attack my critism; I have every right to say I enjoyed the show or I did not enjoy the show. It's called being an audience.
Mike, Thank you for posting this play, I have been looking for a broadway version to watch(wish they had filmed original with Mary Martin). I listened to cast record and tried to imagine what the scenes were like. Everyone did a tremendous job, especially if this was a community theatre production. Applause to them all!

You're most welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, its community theater.

This is great! I'm always amazed that Community Theatres can pull off a production like this. The props, the costumes, the singing--a lot of work went into it. Great job! Thanks for posting it.

the acting is rather drab. Beautiful voices, amateur acting

Yeah - it's community theater and most actors in this play have very little experience. Given that, I think they did a really good job.
