This is „Trust Me" from Final Fantasy VIII, composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

"Did you not see their noble features? Their gem-like eyes revealing innocence? Their bright red hair symbolizing passion? Their spectacular hair signifying power! Their soothing, adorable cries! Their mighty hands with incredible strength! Their proud postures demanding respect!"

This is one of my favorites from the soundtrack, a very special piece with a unique feel to it. The scenes with the Moombas are something special, unlike anything I have seen in other installments of the series. There is something about these creatures that makes me tear up whenever I see the scenes that feature them. I also think that the original track is one of the pieces that kinda let you stare into Uematsu's soul, if that makes any sense, because soul is what this has. Some of the sounds are impossible to recreate on the piano, nothing beats that deep pan flute of the original which is just amazing.

Since the piece only has a single bass note, I take that into the middle pedal silently before the beginning which creates some string resonance effects throughout the piece.

  • Not only does your music bring happiness, joy, love, passion, thrill, and beauty to me.

I have this one youtuberepeat all day long.

This alone makes me want to learn the piano and try just to arrive at a level of your stature.

    This is absolutely extroadinary.

I love the sound of piano, and there are alot of pianist whom I love to listen to, but you, you are my favorite.

If it means anything to you, you have earned yourself a lifetime fan. <3

    Please don't ever stop.

  • @DrakesTheories wow thank you for that comment, i really appreciate it a lot. yeah it does mean a lot to me. thank you.

  • Gorgeous, especially your choice of chords for the main melody. I assume this is your own take on it? It's hard to find good sheets for this one.

  • @Gharmos hello, thank you very much. yeah this is an underappreciated piece and i love the original. this is my own arrangement and i unfortunately don't have sheets for it. but there is a possibility for future sheets, it could just take a long time. sorry about that.

  • The light that is hitting the piano makes it look so stunning..

  • @KingdomHeartsIIIX yeah i realize it just now that i rewatch it, it adds some intense lighting effects on the keys. i'll try to use that lamp more often :)

  • Wonderfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuull !

  • i felt a deep feeling of nostalgic happiness when i listen to your pieces! *sob* thanks dude! keep up the good work!

  • Congratulations on the release. This song reminded me of a scene pretty cool:

Ward running behind Dr. Odin and Ellone on the floor crying, but just to see the two following in the laboratory room in Esthar.

  • @Verdegrand Not a problem! I went ahead and worked on my own chord choice. Got some of the same diminished chords in there too, but it doesn't have exactly the same richness as this one. If you ever get around to producing some sort of sheet for this I could amend some of my chords :)

  • What a pleasure to listen to you perform this wonderful song.

  • @ryancouture Two main places - during the talk between Squall and co and with Fujin and Raijin at Balamb after the first fight when they say they want nothing to do with Balamb anymore, that they're with Seifer.

Most notably though during one of the final Laguna flashbacks, when he's being made to work for Esthar soldiers and he'd looking after that Moomba.
