Depending on your vehicle changing a truck tire is a harder than on a car. This is a very detailed walkthrough video in high def shot with the JVC GZ HM400. While it is specific for a Toyota Tacoma, the general concepts can be applied to any vehicle. http://www.booyagadget.com

  • Finding that notch to stick the hook into for lowering the spare in the dark is a pain. I like to put my jack a little more near the tire on the more flat spot of the axle. Also if you haven't had your tires rotated every 12,000 miles they will be stuck on pretty good. After you loosen the lug nuts set on your butt and kick the tire on left side then right side repeat till tire comes loose from the truck. Try to hit only the rubber part so not to damage your rim.

  • @inhoosierboy the notch for the hook to lower the spare, is 1/2 of why I made this video. I jammed that thing in the hole above the license plate for too long. Once it is a pain the ass for me, I KNOW that others have the same issue. That is how many booya videos are born !

  • Thanks for this video. Very informative and saved me a lot of trouble. Again Thanks.

  • @CopperRed3 My Pleasure. Trust me, this video is EDITED. It took me a while to figure it out, and I could find no other good resources. Therefore, I made one myself to share with the world :) This vid is very accurate as to how to get this done. BTW, I highly recommend you join the TacomaWorld forums. There are people there a lot smarter than I am. There is a LOT of great content. I installed an entire audio system ( amp, head unit, wiring, sub ) based off info I got there.a great forum

  • Thank you!!!!

  • @BooyaGadget I am on the TacomaWorld forum. Yes they are great. I have done several mods using the info I found there. Thanks again.

  • @s1prark also... if that still doesn't work, I recommend you visit the TacomaWorldForum which is where I learned a ton from savvy members there! I guarantee someone in that forum has a 95 tacoma that could verify the wheel removal process on your 95 taco.

  • @s1prark hey, I'm wondering if your wheels are just a little "sticky" from standard dirt/grime ? Just covering my knee jerk reaction here by thinking maybe after releasing the lugs, maybe you just give the damn tire a KICK.. I'm a tech-nerd not a mechanic, but i've never seen a wheel that doesn't release after removing lugs. kick that tire and see if it just needs a nudge to get off. Booya

  • Is the '95 tacoma 4x4 rear wheels come off the same way as shown in this video? I couldn't remove mine off the rear drums after unbolted the lug nuts. This is my first tacoma pick up truck I ever own. I need to replace the rear drums, its getting bad. If anyone know the secret plz reply back. Thx.
