Hey, nice mod. I'd be interested in seeing some steady closeups or the rope buries. Not sure if i can tell where the adjustable bury is. Also you do a video on that cool stand. How much does it weigh?
i plan on making an update on the mods i done to the hammock so i will make sure i get some closeups of everything.....i took out the rings and i'm replacing them with zing-it with carbon fiber inserts for the poles...
the stand probly weighs around 100lbs ....it's a custom job i made...it does have some play because of it's size....but over all it's a good stand for testing out all types of hammocks...
Hey, JRod, I really like the frame you made (stand). Nice engineering, there. I wonder if it can be rebuilt from plastic or some other light-weight material and make it collapsable? Might be a bit too much weight for a back-pack, but could be ideal for car-camping. Hell, get that plastic or whatever version mass-produced and make yourself a fourtune! You know there would be buyers..
i probly could make a UL model of the stand ....my irst try at it was one tha could fold up to store it for the winter butthe ends joints were not that strong so i added the plywood at the end to help it stay open...
i think plastic wouldn't hold up to the stress ....maybe carbon fiber?
