I always think of Yvonne singing circle... and tho a shiver cringes up my back it reminds me that we are all supposed to sing.. like Mr Tanner. We may not know how well we sing.. it just makes us whole... thanks again for this song.. you keep him so alive for us.. and hopefully we keep him alive for you
Can someone help me? I was wondering why 'Circle' was only ever recorded live... does anyone have a studio recording, or know why it doesn't seem to exist?
Awesome job keep up the good work..remember how Harry would have Tim sing this song and he'd always say "and now for the final conclusive evidence that anyone can sing this song I'm now gona bring up Tim... put the cello down and come up here and sing"....
When I was a kid, a dj on WWCO, a Top 40 AM radio station in Waterbury, CT, who went by the name "The Mad Hatter," used to play the Greatest Stories Live version of this song every Friday night at 9:30. Then, on the microphone, during the audience participation parts, he'd sing along and encourage his radio audience to join in. I thought he was nuts. Then, a few years later, when Harry died and I went out and bought Greatest Stories Live, I "got it" and started singing along too. Peace.
