  • would be interesting to know what happened to them

    in the last 25 years.

  • Yeah. Other than these "minor" national pageants such as Miss Oktoberfest.

  • continues: undergo evaluation with their hair pulled back fully gelled back into a taunt ponytail, sans any make-up, freshly splashed with water, so that their ACTUAL LOOKS CAN GO EVALUATED, not the phony and often TACKY CONTESTANT IMAGE assessed: but, then again, that might prove TOO REAL: lol; regardless, the two identified above as 1 & 2 would make the grade surely, in any epoch.

  • continued: eg. poor lighting; freaky tad-pole shaped plucked eyebrows; likely, the prettiest oval-shaped face; does a strange nervous thing with her mouth, as if shes gripping and grinding it, as per the requisite plastered perma-smile from hell).

PART II: Come to think of it, these pageants should have a scoring session, wherein, contestants, illuminated by controlled uniform lighting eg. butterfly, angled vertical strips and other diffused key and side lights undergo

  • PART I: For the record, into perpetuity, the two most classically featured ie. "even featured oval or heart shaped face" beauties are, unranked, these: 1) District of Columbia (encumbered by a styling monkey; interesting heart-shaped face, with a bit of squareness, paradoxically, in the mix; eyes might prove a bit far spaced and a bit small; interesting high-bridged Roman/Greek style nose), and 2) Miss Massachusetts (looks marred by externalities

  • This is where Mai really closed the deal. Hers is the only answer that would still play well today. Instead of simply harping on "The USA is the greatest country!" like the other contestants, Mai was the only one who acknowledged the value of ALL countries and peoples.

  • WOW listening to their answer you help but think HOW THE US HAS CHANGED in 23 years

  • I wanted Kelly or Desiree to win. I didn't think Mai deserved it.

  • The best showing West Virginia ever had. First runner-up. Maybe some day.
