BRAIN ANEURYSM AWARENESS~ AS a survivor I feel it's my duty (and I want to) educate people what aneurysms are, risk factors, symptoms etc etc. This is my first video on the subject and I just kind of skimmed a little of everything.

  • Last year she had another stroke on her other side but survived it as well...she is a fighter...I am glad you are doing this, people need to know about this...I wish you many blessings and you can make it through...may God bless you and your family each and everyday...

  • @athomas1124 Wow~ your kidding! God bless your aunt! How is she now? Please give her a hug for me! There are support groups all over the place if she feels the need to talk to be with others that have experienced what she has.

I HAVE to say this, is there a history of aneurysms in your family? Have you told your doctor? Perhaps you should get checked. Remember, my aunt died from one. All my family is fine, without me having that luck of chance m.r.i~ I'd be wouldn't be here..look into that K?

  • Thank you for this moving and education video. Your openess and willingness to share is profound and will have an effect.

  • @Oswlek Thank YOU for your wonderful comment, it makes me feel like I did something good. I hope it will help someone.

  • I think this is much more common than we realize.

Thank you so much for talking about this!

  • @smilingsandra ~ it is common and it's only after it happened to me that a whole world of people opened up! They suffer in silence. They don't have to. If their aneuryms were found early like mine before rupture, they wouldn't be in wheelchairs etc.. sad ( . Thanks for your comment!

  • you're very attractive too, by the way!

  • my mum had an aneurysm twenty five years ago. She's still going strong, but the guy in the adjacent hospital bed to her died of the same thing. I also have a friend who lost someone aged 41 to an aneurysm. It's a lot more common than people.

Wishing you a continued recovery, and good health moving forward...

  • nice video,i myself had 2 aneurysms,1 ruptured got coils then a stent assist,

  • Thank you for sharing your story - I lost my father to a brain aneurysm is 2006. Since then I have started The Joe Niekro Foundation, committed to the awareness and funding for aneurysm research, treatment and education. I have added your testimony to our survivor videos on the foundation's "You Tube Channel. Thank you for sharing.

    Sincerely,

    Natalie Niekro

  • This is very important and useful information. Thank you for making this and congratulations on your recovery! I had surgery for my unruptured aneurysm March of 09 (there's a youtube vid of my recovery on my page) and it's been such an eye-opening struggle and a blessing that I got through it.

  • Keke - I am so touched by this video and full of admiration and respect for you. I also love your videos on pet bereavment/euthanasia and have taken great comfort from them. God bless. x x

  • something similar that happened to your aunt happened to my aunt late 2009. I really didnt know what an aneurysm was until she was out of surgery and in recovery. my family and i are really blessed to have her and so is her 3 year old daughter, just as your family is blessed to still have you. I'm thinking that maybe if you would like to hear her story than i will post hers here because it's nice to know exactly what an aneurysm is so thank you and bless you and your family..

  • @KeKe10101000 Actually, no there is no history of it in our family. There have been different things happening to family members that have no history in our family, it is weird...

  • PS I agree with FancyLadyDiane as well. I am so glad you survived this ordeal and are sharing your experience to help and encourage others. You are a beautiful caring good person. Your friend Vic.
