But I guess when you're destroying a country, as Ted Kennedy did, it helps to let off a little steam. Break out the Jim Beam. Have a couple of hookers over. Go for a swim.
The joke is on us. Like many Americans I know my country is greatly damaged from Teddy's goofy good times.

reading these comments makes me feel unclean. Mary Jo Kopechne was killed in a tragic accident and Ted Kennedy might be held somewhat accountable. But Ted Kennedy contributed more to propel this world towards progress, liberty and equality than any other senator. What he didn't do was orchestrate a lie to send thousands of innocent people to their deaths in Iraq.
