You know, watching the intro...if I had no clue Higurashi was a murder mystery game(Or knew about the anime), I'd say it was a dating sim. Doesn't it look like one in a yandere sort of way?

Fact: the girl at 1:38-1:45 isn't Rika. It's Ouka Furude, Hanyuu and Rika's daughter. :3 She's the one who started the rumors of Oyashiro-sama's curse. I don't think she was ever mentioned in the anime, was she?

The anime is an EXTREMELY compressed version of the games and leaves out about 70% of the info and events from the games.

For example,in the anime they don't mention the fact that Hinamizawa Syndrome is airborne.

First,I don't know about the hoe but in Miotsukishi-hen Rika DOES fight,the two most notable times are when she actually attacks Teppei (Satoko's uncle) for abusing Satoko and then therte's the final battle where Hanyuu gives Keiichi her powers (including teleportation) and fights Takano with Rika.

(SPOILER:Hanyuu gets shot to death at the end of Miotsukishi-hen.)
