Canon PowerShot SD1100 camera has features including an 8.0 Megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 3x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. Canon SD-1100 PowerShot Digital Camera uses Battery Pack NB-4L to shoot up to approx. 240 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via Hi-Speed USB. The dimensions (excluding protrusions) of the main body are 86.8 x 54.8 x 22.0 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 0.9 in.) and the weight is approximately 125 g (4.4 oz.).

On the feature side, Motion Detection Technology that detects and takes brightness and movement of subjects into account to maintain image quality was newly added. More advanced Face Detection Technology adjusts the white balance as well as the Face Detection AF/AE/FE to enable more true-to-life facial expressions. Also, Print List that makes photo printing more comfortable can be easily made immediately after shooting or playing back an image.

I love this camera, I got the brown one, had it for 3 years and still working great. Just one question, I love taking video of sunsets and the only issue I got is that vertical line when shooting bright objects, like the sun. Is there a way to get rid of that? It would be great, thanks! :)

i have the blue one, i dropped it onto a hard floor and it stopped working. it got shipped to toronto nd they fixed it for free. you only have to pay for shipping and handling. which from where i live is about 25 dollars.

my daughter dropped this camera in the toilet. it was in there for several minutes. We took the battery out and dried the camera out in front of a forced-air heat register for a day and a half.

The fricken thing works perfectly again!!!

wow thank you! its amazing the resolution! I LOVE IT! but the sd1200 has 10 mega pixels. but i dont know if i should but that one! :S.

i used to have the one on the video and its amazing! but i dont think im gonna buy this again. i think im gonna change. but the sd1200 doesnt have the same effects like the sd100.. :s but it has 10 mp :s this is driving me Nuts!

and what amazes me is how well it handles heavy bass.. the sound does NOT distort! check it out:

However, I've unfortanately lost that awesome camera and I'm looking for a new one that records concerts really well.
