About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • @jimmywilkes There will still be a need for utility poles. The lights on the road must be placed over it because you have to see a meter (a few feet) from the edge of the road!

  • how many lives would be saved if this product removes the need for utility poles. ;) one less road hazard.

  • solar sideways would be easier to do

  • What an exciting concept. I really hope this takes off. Do you think this will help reduce our dependence on foreign oil with all the energy it can create? I would love to get your opinion on this subject posted on DeathofaGasGuzzler . com. Thanks so much.

  • This Idea will have a use regardless if it gets on a highway or not. It will be usefull for parking lots, controlled roads, walking trails. Great Idea.

  • Wonderful and amazing. Some day soon we will be driving on solar roadways :)
