Nadi (pronounced [na.ndi]) is the third-largest city in Fiji. It is located on the western side of the main island of Viti Levu, and have a population 31 000. Nadi is multiracial with many of its inhabitants Indian or Fijian, along with a large transient population of foreign tourists. Along with sugar cane production, tourism is a mainstay of the local economy.

yeah it's exactly the same in the caribbean. when i tell tourists about crime and poverty and corruption here they're like all surprised..lol

yeah I know! it is an awesome place to visit like on the islands but it can be hard living there esp in some of those villages

it's very weird though, most people think of fiji as a tropical paradise...but i live in the caribbean and fiji is very similar..

and also the poverty level there is high ever since the government was taken over. I personally been there and been to some of the villages and many of them couldn't live there way they were living.
