Torn Early Version

Its unfinished. I am aware I have posted two videos here recently, but I have my reasons.... This will go up when I feel okay to post it..... :)

If I'm honest, I'm not sure what I can write here. Things are very complicated.... One thing though. "I'm all outta faith" - is not true - I'm filled with faith and I'll keep looking up.

This is a result of many accidents and was not my original idea. I will continue with the other version. But there was something about this I wanted to keep.

I dressed each time differently and recorded at different times in the day. The first being 11 oclock on the 19th and 9 oclock on the 20th. Each recording was pieced into this without edit cuts. The only editing is adjusting the opacity, and cutting up parts of the video so that the layer underneath could be seen better... Oh that makes little sense....

Order of recordings:

1ST: Flat hair blue top.
2ND: Pink top.
3RD: Rainbow skirt + blue jumper
4TH: Yellow top.

I deliberately stayed as still as I could when dressed in the rainbow skirt which is why she does not move around as much.

I felt the recordings were too central and later added the yellow top one to fill in gaps and widen the movement. The render for this video was ridiculous, and in the time its taken to render, save and upload, I've added another recording to this video... :S

I hurt myself several time making this. :)

I like it. I haven't read all the comments, but I'm sure others saw an extra layer with the song "Torn" and multiple views of the same person in the video as though torn apart.

I like the colors, especially at the very beginning. The blue and the pinkish-purple? purplish-pink? puce? lavender? magenta? orchid?

Are they complementary colors?

I really love the idea of this video and the thing as a whole is really innovative and clever.

I do however agree with WhiteEcoFreak but also maybe inclue some reversed sections of the video to add to how surreal it is, like when you're spinning around with the blanket [which by the way looks brilliant with everything else on top of it!] maybe if you layered it on top of itself and reversed it then it might look even better?

Just some ideas for you, but as a whole I really enjoyed this video!
