I disagree with the BNP on some fundamental issues eg:

I don't live in the UK anymore and would love to hear NG's attitude towards my Asian wife and half Asian half British son.

The biggest problem in the UK at the moment is the scale of immigration. Many countries accept and embrace immigration, indeed I welcome it. But to accept hundreds of thousands a year is a huge change in the society of such a small country.

@1972Villa As I've stated b4, there is a shortage of menial/blue-collar workers as the natives don't wish to do it in most developed countries. HK (SAR) & Pakistan have a large foreign diplomatic & business presence both now & historically & this is the legacy of the British. Islamabad is very up-market & expensive 2 live in & despite, some foreign hostage taking & suicide bombings (mostly in NWFP & the tribal areas anyways), has a large expat community. Most English have Irish/Scottish roots!

@faizet2 of course you are right about a shortage of labourers but that is the source of the problem.

But when it's OK for workers to come and then they bring their families and breed more quickly than the local population, demographics change and people resent rapid change.

Can you name one Asian city where the same has happened? 50% English in Mumbai? Some Chinese think whites have tails (lol) Bangkok has an extremely small number, most wouldn't settle in Pakistan because they would be killed

@1972Villa Ahh but cities like Bradford & Birmingham historically needed all the cheap labour from the Indian subcontinent (particularly Pakistan) after a lack of workers in the cotton mills after WWII. They mostly came to England on the voucher system officially issued by the British govt to them @ that time. Asians are the legacy of this policy in cities like Birmingham, Bradford, Oldham & Burnley who tend to have more children than their White counterparts.

My point is that no asian country that I've ever been to would accept the same level of immigration as the UK.

Can you imagine the cities of Delhi or Shanghai becoming 50% european in the space of thirty years? like Birmingham or Bradford have become predominantly asian?

@1972Villa Brits, Americans, Canadians, etc... don't tend to take up the citzenship of their host countries but rather remain as "Guest Workers" (often for many years). This is y they aren't usually included in the demographical censuses of their host countries. One reason for why they usually don't take up citizenship of their host country is that their not completely confident in the future political stability of the country they're working in.

@1972Villa Many expatriates frm the West go 2 live & work in countries such as the Middle East & Asia (such as Hong Kong) where they can enjoy a much more privileged life than they ever could in their western home countries, such as house-help, chauffeurs & tax-free or higher salaries.

@1972Villa Ppl have been migrating frm place 2 place since the beginning of time. The ironic thing is that developed countries need the cheap labour & odd hours for the jobs the "natives" don't wish to do (that inclu blue & white collar workers)!
