  • how can u compar the power of trucks when they arnt even close in production year, you got a mid-80s 215 vs. a 94-96(?) ranger. the diffrence in engine is nothing. its the advantage in traction control and power distrabution in the new truck compared to the straight drive train in the older truck. plus the diffent tires. the list goes on and on. im not running down the video uploader, more the people running down the s15 cus they ford guys.

  • i used to drive a 2wd sonoma work truck. that thing woulg get stuck on a banana peel on level ground. no traction whatsoever.

  • @SaGalv I've driven them both, and the 2.9L has more power but i just love how fast the 2.8L is in comparison. I can wind it up and spin the tires like nothing.

  • @SuperBilligan No he doesn't... the chevy has a 2.8L (later replaced with the 4.3L) and the ranger came with an i4 2.5L or a 2.3L depending on the optioins (the ranger did have a 2.8L back in the early 80's 83-85 before switching to the 2.9L)... so no they are right.

  • @stevenjack2333 your such an idiot end of story, THATS A FACT.

  • @OriginalRanger84 Yeah i used to have a bronco II with the 2.9v6, that motor was pretty good for what it was. I know the fuel injection seems to add alot of power over the electronic carb of the 2.8v6

  • @stevenjack2333 Its just cuase your sister loves it...

I will nevr own another POS chevy again. I swear to god i spent more on gas and parts pulling my buddies chevy's around then i have put into the last 3 Rangers i have (and actually for that matter still own and drive regularly.)

  • @SaGalv Yeah I have a 2.8L ranger and that thing has balls... i have never driven an s10 that i liked or thought was even powerful enough...

Its an 00 ranger with the 2.5L i'm betting and the only advantage over the s10 that the ranger has is the 235 series tires vs the 215's and i doubt that would make a difference.

  • @hy4ham Traction control? What traction control? Im pretty sure even a 2012 ford ranger doesnt have traction control installed on it. Let alone a 90-whatever that ranger is. If by straight drivetrain you mean front engine rear wheel drive, then both of these truck are the same as far as that goes. To make this fair you could put a an 80's 2.8v6 ranger up to it, but honestly, if that 4 banger ranger pulled the s10, i think the 2.8 ranger would only add insult in to injury in the chevys case

  • lol ford is a straight up POS i know cuz i had a ranger, f150 and a car, no wonder mercury, rangers no longer in production, ford sucks bottom line and no one wants the trash on wheels. always a let down. Chevy will own fords forever nor will i ever own a ford POS again, i dont like walkin or paying tow bills. never walked or had a chevy towed. CHEVY is #1 and always will be and thats a FACT.

  • @hy4ham chevys are junk compared to the old faithful fords.i ought to know.i had two chevy junk piles.

  • @MrAnthonyMildred Listen buddy I own a s-10 but dont be putting down fords like that. every motor company has their ups and downs.
