did you get him as a baby or as a juvie like in the vid? the tub trick works if the nile is a baby not the one you have in the vid. AND some niles as juvies dont tame at all, it really depends on the nile.

@rollitbakeit yeah he never got tamed i tried everything in the book and nothing worked. I had to get rid of him because he was worst than a nile monitor I had.

@romuloruiz dude never hand feed ur tegu then hes gona aaccotiate u with food and when u put ur hand in there guess wat hes gona think it is ? ya know hes not gona be as social as tegus can be check out thetegu.com they help so much

Poor guy was living in a box inside another box. You think his owner could have at least plugged the tub drain up because I know from experience that a scared monitor will quickly try and hide in the first dark place it can.

the best way to build trust with your lizard is to not force him to do anything he doesnt want to do. you should try hand feeding him, that will get him to learn to like you because you bring him his food. when he gets a little less scared of you then you can try getting him to climb on you to get his food then after his used to climbing on you he should do pretty good with being picked up. =]
