STS-123 Liftoff

Space Shuttle mission STS-123 liftoff from Cape Canaveral, FL on March 11, 2008. This was the first time I've ever seen a launch in person. Turns out a fellow motorcyclist on www.advrider.com CDR Dom Gorie was the shuttle commander for this mission, so we had to go. And a night launch? Woohoo! Low clouds shortened it a bit, but it was still an amazing thing to see from the Garden Street Causeway, which is about 12 miles away.

Yeah, much like all my videos, it is crappy quality, but it's all I've got to work with right now :-P
