  • Our government have been captured. It is an illusion that oridnary citizens vote for representation. The two main parties continue to harp on abortion, taxing the rich or giving to the poor, free markets or more regulation. Meanwhile, the same detrimental policies continue regardless of which party is in power. The middle class is disappearing, the ranks of the poor swell and the rich are getting richer. Meanwhile, methods are institutionalized to hold on to the power and corruption.

  • I think this whole health care reform issue is just meant as a distraction from the state of the economy. If the economy is going down the crapper faster than we can say, "Oh shit!", then isn't health care a rather moot issue? Don't we have bigger fish to fry, and even more metaphors to mix?

  • Have my babies.

  • she's too hot for me to pay attention.....

  • Very well said. Thank you ... and please keep 'em coming!

  • Oh I agree about the major media outlets being useless liars. But I think the polling numbers support me in the idea that the people who are hip to what is going on are a majority and growing. Obama is in negative numbers already and congress is severely deep negative numbers.

I believe sept-oct is going to get much for worse for them but unfortunately it is going to get much worse for us as well as the bad economy really starts to take it's toll.

  • From what I can tell, the people who are at that level of understanding are a small minority.

Clearly, if the media and politicians were telling us the truth, and discussing the CORE problems in the economy, rather than the health care situation (which should be more of a side show), a lot more people would know what's going on. I maintain my suspicion, that the health care issue, is mainly being used to distract from far more fundamental/urgent issues.

  • But that is precisely what is happening. People are asking why the heck is the federal government taking on all this debt at the worst possible times? Have you been following the tea parties or the town hall meetings at all?

People are freaked out at the level of debt we have because they know it is unsustainable. That is why old people are freaked out. They know if the federal govt fails that they are completely screwed.

  • Well... it keeps people from asking , "how are we going to pay off the national debt?"

Like I said, we've got bigger fish to fry.

  • You are AWESOME.
