you don't need to boil the tomatoes???

@llotex Not really.. since you are grinding everything up together blanching the tomatoes isn't necessary. I'd only "peel" tomatoes if I were roasting them since the skin tends to turn rather "papery" (not unlike the skin of the peppers, etc.)

I usually don't find a recipe on here that makes me laugh but yours did. Your recipe looked really simple, I can't wait this summer when my little garden supplies me with all the salsa I want. Can you freeze it for months later?

@Kyjo34 You can freeze it. Tomatoes turn to mush when frozen but since it's all blended up anyway I don't think the texture would be too funky.

@mrmoney185 making your own hot sauce will costs $5 for a couple of jars worth, but the the better part is that YOU get to control exactly what (and the quality of) what goes into your sauce/salsa. It's up to you whether to use all organic ingredients - tho I"ve found organic peppers almost impossible to come by. However, if you want organic peppers, just plant some in a pot and don't fill it with pesticides/fertilizers.. it's not quite that simple, but it's a start...
