The Fix For this is to just simply, install latest Video drivers from amd or intel. Get the lastest catalyst profiles and drivers (dont know what its called for nvidia). then restart your computer after its done installing and it should work. Most of you probably found this out by now.
My comp specs are:
Radeon hd 6870
Amd phenom Xt 6 core black edition
8 gigs of ram

  • Same old crash with an ATI Mobility x300.

Pisses me off. Took me hours to build a little mine with signs and everything and I can't take a decent walk through it.

  • @theZukbg Same

  • The same problem is happening for me. I have un-installed, re-installed, and updated my AMD drivers and my java is up to date. It seems to work fine if I play in-browser though.

  • Similar issue here - Minecraft runs fine for anywhere between 30s and 1 min after loading a world and then crashes, sometimes to the 'driver has stopped working and recovered' and sometimes to BSOD.

    Radeon HD 6630M

    Core i7-2620M

    8 Gigs RAM

Doesn't crash when I run it on the Intel HD3000 graphics, though it's quite choppy.

  • Radeon 6870 card

    Core i7 3.4GHz

    12 Gigs ram

No problems at all for me

  • Zing.

I visited my doctor last week, and he told me I had to stop masturbating. I asked him why, surely it’s not dangerous. He said it was distracting him.

  • @CoolGamerPro It's a known bug, no fix yet.

  • @markmark111 THE SAME FUCKING THING HERE!

  • AMD X2 555 Black Edition @ 3.2Ghz

    4Gb RAM

    Sapphire Radeon HD5450 1Gb edition.

I'm having this problem as well. Minecraft will play fine for a while, then will go nuts and display a dirt background which goes black when I try to do something.

  • Radeon HD 5750 Happens to me too.
