As a composer, I just can't measure the influence Bill Conti's work has had on me!

Analyzing the song, this is what I got from it: The opening piano bit represents Rocky's exhaustion after going the distance. Once the music kicks in, it's full of emotion. The strings represents the drama of overcoming obstacles, the fast beat and the bongos on the background represents the adrenaline rush of the moment, the angelic chorus has that "dream come true" feel and the fanfare near the end obviously represents a personal victory after a long battle against an almost unbeatable foe.
