@glokc19 There is, in the UK there was no turbo version - period, till the W210. This is because the steering box was in the way of the turbo on RHD cars. So over here, we have never seen a turbo diesel W124. W210's were always turbo diesel here.

thanks. i had an 82 and dumped it at the downpipe, the thing sounded like a dumptruck... if i do the same to the 87 i hope the turbo is a tad more audible

just after position 00:12 you can hear the turbo. 6 cyl sounds nice even with open pipe. 82 is a 5 banger.
