this year was my first time attending and it was awesome, the rain made it even better (i love gloomy gray pouring skies)! i am doing it again next year!!

Nicely done and quick! But that estimate is way low. There had to be upwards of 40 to 50 thousand. It was the biggest one so far.

To be honest, crowd size - over maybe 10-15k - means nothing really, not to diminish your input.
What is important, key to this journalist, is that thousands and thousands of men women and kids were willing to come out in lousy weather from all over the West Coast to bear public witness to their faith.
That is the big message here.
For the record I have covered dozens of huge protests and have a pretty good feel for what a crowd of 50k or 100k looks like, this was a bit smaller.
