  • Clean build, looks fast. Do you have to pedal much with it?

  • @stopglobalswarming I pedal to get rolling from a dead stop, then it's throttle only as the gearing i'm using would force me to spin at a rediculous rpm, the chainring is freewheeling IPS tandem cranks.

  • The 20" wheel, originally i wanted to mount the motor infront of the fire in the space provided by a smaller wheel, problem is that chainline was impossible. 2nd is that a smaller bike is easier to fit inside elevators etc as i take this bike to work and various other places, personal preference as well i like the lower to the ground feel.

budget, ouf, rough guess is well over 2500$ so far, not including battery/charger/bms, + 1000$

The video above is on 10ah Lifepo4, switching to Lipo .

  • what are the speeds ?

  • On level ground lowest gear ratio 40 km/h

Max speed so far on GPS 60 km/h and i'm not pushing it to the limit yet. ( brand new build, above is ride no. 3 !)

  • @petedude2lu3 Your depth perception is malfunctioning. He is not in the gutter.

  • Impressive range and speed,if you had a aero body it would really increase the speed and range, bikes have a lot of drag.

  • Hi,

Just came upon this video and i'm sure you've improved the bike since but for those that do not know the NuVinci hub, I think you would improve your joy of it by short shifting in very small gradual steps. If you momentarily shut the power off a bit, you can use two fingers to slide the transmission up a notch, hit the power curve of the motor and improve the momentum. It's a delicate balance because the gears are not fixed but the tendency is to overdo it at first. Have fun!

  • That;s nice bike man!

  • Wow that's pretty loud! I bet my drill bike is louder ;)

  • you idiot, you're riding in the gutter!

altogether impressive, especially if that run is a single charge.

  • you idiot, you're riding in the gutter!
