Dec 28 Point Lobos Dive

The culmination of our grand plan - find Lone Metridium, forge a route to Sea Mount, and if all goes well, try to make our way to Beto's Reef for a quick survey from above. Success on every front! Viz was a beautiful 20-30ft in the cove, it was like being in an aquarium. It got mucky where we descended near the mouth of the cove, but opened up at Hole in the Wall and stayed 40-50ft until we made our way back to Middle Reef.

Route: 330 degrees to HITW. 300 degrees to Lone Metridium. 0 degrees to Sea Mount. 330 degrees to Beto's. 140 back to LM. 120 to Middle Reef.

Sure do, and we ended up staying well above Beto's Reef to avoid having a monster deco obligation.

Sure wish I was faster on the camera when that enormous sea lion came by though - it was HUGE.
