Ever since Alexander Hamilton, we have made our central banks borrow our IOU's (hey! It's a discovery for me, too!) I guess it's to forever insure that they cannot be a creditor to the Government, however the fabled 1930 Geneva treaty, does make me wonder about certain things....

@arshdeep125 No arshdeep, Congress created it, to run privately, and FOR PROFIT, so it operates without being on Congress' budget process. Consider this: What other entity would allow a "borrower" to make them "borrow an IOU?" Would any bank you walk into, borrow your promissory note? Reportedly Fed has largest holding of Treasury securities...how much is bought and paid for, and how much's "borrowed, and is the mix a determinant of funds rate?
