@POPCORN454545 - You're calling me a noob? What a joke... many people don't need a C2Q CPU, C2D is cheaper so it's a better choice. Now a Core i3 or Core i5 would be a better choice though... And for sure Intel's E8000 series CPUs are faster than AMD Athlon's when comparing both at the same clock speed, much better OC also.

Going to get this at some point to replace my Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300.
However first things first and thats a new graphics card!

The I3 and I5 dual core are most definitely superior to the aging Core 2 Duo series (Which I believe have been discontinued). However, many games only take advantage of 1 or 2 cpu cores at max. As a result, a Core 2 Duo running at higher clock speeds than the Core 2 Quad will perform better. It's when you start getting into applications where multiple cores can be utilized that we can see the advantage of having 4 cores over 2. When this video was made, the Core 2 duo was better for gaming...

where is the intel sticker????? :(
the bottom of the fan there is 2 strips of gray, is it thermal paste? i have the intel core 2 duo 3mb 45nm, the bottom of the fan has 3 gray strips. i also thought that the package comes with thermal paste and the manual does not say if i need to by it.

@swatmarksman61995 - Yes thermal paste should come preapplied to the heatsink.
