  • check out this video - Dnw8tzHmXCk - the Plymouth tries to spin out a bmw a few turns before, and is blocking me going into turn 9. After he gets back on track he spins the volvo and ends up in a roll over.

  • OK, now THAT was funny! Great video... :) At first I thought "well, he just drives on the inside of EVERY turn" but those back and forth manuevers between T8 and T9 HAD to be on purpose to block you. The wave goodbye is classic.

  • I wasn't driving the car when it rolled, but judging from the video, I'd have to say that the Plymouth tried to move back to the inside before the Volvo was completely past it. Unintentional PIT maneuver??

  • i hope you shot the driver of that plymouth

  • If you purposely wreck someone, you will be penalized. I checked the rules.

  • If you cant beat em, wreck em! Maybe he thought he was still at the demo derby?

  • after watching the video AND being a Police Officer....I can say that is a textbook perfect example of a Pursuit Intervention Techinque PIT

  • I am the captain of the #67 team and would like to clear the air. Tough to say who is at fault but I guarantee our driver was not trying to spin the Volvo on purpose, but he should have not put himself in that situation.

The driver in the video is no longer on our team because of this and other mistakes throughout the race. We pride ourselves on having clean, safe drivers. We got through Reno with zero black flags and that was our first contact of Thunderhill.

  • YES, exactly. Talk to the fury driver, i bet you get a different story.

  • NO that was no pit. As much as I love these guys, what happened was that the passing volvo didnt stay real narrow on the entrance. He faded wide and and the fury had no place to go. it had terrible brakes and couldnt slow down. had the volvo hugged the inside line, that wouldnt have happened. I passed that fury many times and it was a lot of fun to race with. he was agressive, but a good driver. watch the white lines on the video and see the movement

  • OK, the FURY absolutely gave Wayne the PIT. Wayne had full right away as he flew up the inside and had CLEAR path. Look at the frames when the camera points back at the Fury and look where it is, tight on the inside line where Wayne was. Plus, listen to the impact that lifts and spins Wayne's rear to the left. What a BS move on the Fury's driver. If I was Wayne, I would be SCREAMING!!!! Banging doors is one thing, but taking a car out like that is just chicken poo!!! So glad Wayne is ok.

  • that plymoth definately pitted the volvo- A little contact in a corner is one thing but this was blattant- I know if i was spun like that heads would be rolling in the pits!
