could you put a 1UZ-FE in a 3rd gen 2001 limited 4runner? If so, would the stock A340 transmission work? mines a 2WD.

I'll do it to my 93 FZJ80 down the road, right now the engine runs strong. Structurally the FJ80 body style is the best. Like a 747 jet the engines are replaceable and the airframe will last decades

Other than the wiring not too bad. And good news it is for sale. I do these swaps just to do them then sell them. But it is much less than 20K.
