You can do the maze from memory, without remembering the sounds, without having memorized the move sequence, and without a map. It's easy: you're moving in a circle, clockwise, through the maze. ALL of the dead ends move away from the center. So.... you just take the path that is most to the Right. As an algorithm: Rotate 45 degress towards your right twice, so you're facing 90 degrees right of where you start. If you can go, go, if not rotate left until you can, and that's the right path.

@filardodesigns The north, south, west, east sounds, I know, but then i dont know the directions. how do I know when to go north, west, east of south? or do you mean, you do a move and then you hear a sound and that sounds represents which direction you should go?
what is the logic behind the Rocket downstairs, how do you know which path you have to take?

@FlippieX I did the same thing initially.
The correct way to know which way you are going is to have completed the Mechanical Age first. When you run the rotation simulator you will hear specific noises at each of the points of the compass (North, South, East and West).
When you are riding in the "Rocket" you will hear one or more of the same noises you had heard in the simulation. This will tell you which direction to go next. You can hit the red button on the console to hear the sound again.

@filardodesigns You don't have to take Mechanical Age first. The puzzle is thought out in a way that allows you to actually fugure out the connection between different sounds and directions. i.e. Right off the bat you hear a sound but you can only go north (there is no other way), next you hear a different sound but you can rule out north AND south (because that's where you came from). On top of that, one of the 2 remaining routes is blocked.
You know all the sounds by forth/fifth junction.

@Sznaps666 True enough. You can play the game in any order you want.
The sounds do match up, so it is quite helpful if you pick up on that little connection.
