12V damaged LCD shows no sign of harm apart from the fluro back-lights being dim due to the low temps.

Vertical lines and panel de-lamination was there before I got it.

condensation on the PCB's would cause problems after a while.

  • CCFL and it's driver might be worth keeping too. Not much else worth saving. (apart from the PSU you already salvaged)

  • You can make a light table out of those. Just pull all the shit off the front.

  • Try it under liquid helium. It probably won't work at 4.2 K (-268.9 C). If thats the case, get out the hammer.

  • Looks like it may be made by panasonic, they have a similar OSD the Caps still work :D

  • So are most of these LCD monitors with power supplys able to run on 12V's like car's 14.4V's or what ever it may charge at by taking out the power supply and what not.
