for me its about addiction or alcoholism,its the way i felt in my addiction to alcohol the way it had a hold on me, and it reminds me of the hell i can go back to if i decide to go back.

to me it's someone "trapped" in themselves. they're depressed and want to get out and be happy but they can't because something is holding them back

music is interperative. the writer has a meaning for it, but that doesnt mean its what you have to understand it as. there is no right answer.

To me, this song represents anybody who's depressed, despondent, and totally desperate to get out of whatever prison they feel they're in, literal or metaphorical.
The "How long must I wait" makes me think of quiet despair.

all it is about is some tv show he watched. he wrote a song about how people lives are filled with this kind of tradegy.

it's a good song, look at the quality of the music before writing it off as a piece of crap.

I think this is alot of what's wrong with music today... Cocaine.... What a musically limiting drug.  Compare this to the ideas created in the 60's and 70's. Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Beach Boys... The hallucinigenic-inspired songwriting of those days was so much more complex and aesthetically pleasing. This crap just sounds muffled, dull, and like there was a lack of effort. Sorry you're hooked on dope bud, but next time maybe go to rehab instead of writing a song about it
