@squirrel102185: either your can phasers are needing to be replaced, your cam timing is off or you need to get it re-tuned.
I averaged 20.5mpg combined city/freeway all the way until I traded it in. And it ALWAYS LEGITIMATELY passed Texas emissions... Without cats :) good tune!

cold starts suck sometimes, they love to load up on fuel... could be the tune... hate lugging at 900-1300rpm so if you have rush hour traffic and a manual it'll suck. Aside from that, man, they're pretty solid.

how much does it cost to get the cams installed?? i wanna do it to my stang but im kinda new to this stuff lol. any help will be greatly appreciated thanx guys(:

It depends on who you ask and how you about getting parts. If you're patient and know some Ford techs, you could get them installed for under $1,000. You still need to get the car tuned afterwards (mine passes Texas emissions testing BTW), so that again is up to how you go about it. I already had a SCT tuner and used Gearheads in Arlington, Tx for the install and updated tune.
