This video highlights a problem I have with my Lenovo Thinkpad T61p. I hope that this will draw some attention by Lenovo to this issue, as they are still denying that there is a problem.

The sound chip is a "SoundMax Integrate HD Audio" chip from Analog Devices, with PCI vendor ID 0x11D4, device ID 0x1984, subsystem ID 0x17AA20BB, and revision 0x1004.

  • #1, your temps should never go over 60C on eather the GPU or CPU also that "cut" in the audio could be a bad driver,

Suggestion: download newest drivers for your aduio system,. compleatly UNINSTALL the old drivers.. reboot and installl the newone ... if the driver doesn't fix that issue i'd suggest you get some good thermal paste and replace the thermal paste on your coolers. also make sure your fan is working.. 70C is why to high for what little your running good luck hope it helps
