Who cares if it did or did not get an Oscar...what matters is that this movie was made and it's a superb movie. An Oscar is not the be all or end all.....look at Shawshank Redemption...another great movie that was barely noticed in the Oscars. This movie, The Mission, touched my soul as a teenager and now as a grown woman it inspires me to act in kindness daily with those around me. To be bad is easy...it be good takes effort...but its a choice we make.
