Cardamom plantation is one of the fast-emerging livelihood activities in recent times in Arunachal. We've also decided to put nearly 3 ha of our land for cardamom plantation.
It's a herbaceous plant, generally abundantly grows in tropical and sub-tropical kind of forests; it's a very good source of spice, derived mainly from the dried fruits. Naturally, it has got a great market. The climatic conditions in Arunachal are conducive for its survival & growth. Therefore, it's been grown in large sale in Arunachal of late.
