Ray and The Darchaes - Darling Forever - Great Neptune NJ Uptempo Doo Wop

My good friend Ray Dahrouge wrote this and is also singing lead on this record. This group also features Sam Capolongo, Tony Juliano, Sam Siciliano, Denny Testa and Louie Scalpati. On this particular recording Nickie Addeo was also present, although he was not the lead of the group yet. He did the high floating tenor throughout this record.

I like both sides. IMO this side should have been a ballad. The calypso cha-cha beat and the percussion detracted. Tell Ray for me that he has a wonderful voice.

We recorded this song, and the flip side "There Will Always Be" twice. The first time was in Revelation VII studio. That version will be released very shortly as part of an Album. On the Original recording it's Ray Dahrouge, Sam Siciliano, Dennis Testa, Louie Scalpati and Nicky Addeo. The second recording for Buzzy Lubinski, my brother Patsy replaced Dennis who was in college. Sal Capolongo was also in college and Tony Juliano had joined the Marines.
