I've had more than my fair share of heros growing up, but as an adult my hero is certainly Dr. Marker. She is such a great person and so dedicated. I really think the world of her, her staff, and those who help make CCF a success. I have sponsored two different cheetahs and hope that every viewer here will consider doing their part to help save this magnificent creature.

They are doing a great thing. I'm in veterinary school and i'm sitting here filling out my applications to do my internship at the CCF!! So excited. I live in the US too, first time for Africa! What a dream.

@Ariolserifi The farmers are actually very willing to conserve the cheetah once they learn to prevent conflict such as losing their animals to predators. CCF has trained thousands of farmers in Namibia to teach them how to increase productivity and live harmoniously with predators on their land --for example, using livestock guard dogs or donkeys to protect their domestic animals. Farmers that have learned how to do this report almost no livestock losses to predators. They are our best allies!

Dr. Laurie Marker is an absolute angel. I started a monthly donation to the CCF and I hope many more people will be moved to do the same!
