Adam Hughes is one of our most talented comic book artists. He has a huge following of fans who dote on his stylized drawings of women, who come from his pen both feminine and powerful. He started early. He got his first comic gig at the age of 19, doing both interior and cover work for Maze in 1985. Four years later, he moved to mainstream comics, doing two years for DC Comic's Justice League. Then in 1990, he switched to doing only covers. Within the next eight years, he was producing some of the best comic covers ever seen, including four years of great Wonder Woman covers. His body of work is so prolific that the Hero Worship entries dedicated to him will come in four parts -- the first three for Cat Woman, Wonder Woman, and Lara Croft, and the fourth for a surprisingly wide variety of other heroes and heroines lucky enough to reach his sketch pads. Music is the "Ritual Fire Dance," from "El Amor Brujo" by Manuel de Falla.

  • Adam Hughes is just... the epitome of awesomeness :)

  • I think wiiagent ment AUDREY Hepburn not catherine. Sorry I,m just a big fan of Audrey and Adam.

  • i could be wrong but i think adam hughes based the apperence of catwoman off a young catherine hepburn

  • Yes, I just finished downloading a lot of his stuff. He's terrific!

  • You'll remember him as soon as you see his work. Most notable is his Marginal Thinking in Mad Magazine. He also did a comic book series called, "Groo The Wanderer." We posted a video of the covers from that series.

    Peace.

  • Now I'll have to look up Sergio Aragones ...

  • Another great tribute. AH is one amazing artist. My favorite comic book artist has always been Sergio Aragones.
