Uncle Steve Tries Bream Cut-bait

Uncle Steve makes cut-bait from very small bream that he caught the day before. He fishes for catfish with this cut-bait at the Fishing Pond at Harris Lake County Park, Wake County, New Hill, North Carolina. It seems that Uncle Steve may have caught the same catfish twice!

Fishing location: N35.626959 W78.925352

Date of fishing: 09 JUNE 2010

  • Try using fresh cut bait catch the bait the first day and use it the same day. Works better. If your using a bobber take it off and your guranteed to catch'em faster

  • @theonlyjammy602 If you look at my latest videos ... direct experience suggests to me that you are incorrect on both counts.

  • You ever try pacific mackerel works good here in ca and is a bream the same as a bluegill

  • @baka2004 I know mackeral works good for cats (mewo) ... :^)

I use 'bream' the way the NC Wildlife Commission fish ID pages use it: bluegill ... any of the game fish in the Lepomis family, including bluegill.

  • hey uncle steve just a tip... try keeping your rod tip up a little when fighting a fish. this keeps tension on the line and increases your chances of landing the fish! happy fishing!

  • @SLABASSFISHING Your "advice" is directly contradicted by my experience.
