Try using fresh cut bait catch the bait the first day and use it the same day. Works better. If your using a bobber take it off and your guranteed to catch'em faster

You ever try pacific mackerel works good here in ca and is a bream the same as a bluegill

@baka2004 I know mackeral works good for cats (mewo) ... :^)
I use 'bream' the way the NC Wildlife Commission fish ID pages use it: bluegill ... any of the game fish in the Lepomis family, including bluegill.

hey uncle steve just a tip... try keeping your rod tip up a little when fighting a fish. this keeps tension on the line and increases your chances of landing the fish! happy fishing!
