hi,,,i just bought this knife at a local gun show and i absolutely hate the spring assisted technology on it, the blade is tooo hard to deploy for a edc carry....so how did u remove the assisted bar

like the patches on your arm...must of been sharp! (;

@alfwok -hey alfwok, awww you don't like the bug koolaide? hahaha just jokin man. Glad you dug the vid tho!

@PavlovSandor - Notorious is rather bold isn't it.
-
@mz9393mz - hey mz, the rounded corners work on this one. I would guess that on some lock bars, rounding would take away needed purchase, making it too slippery perhaps, but also maybe the makers just don't think people expect it. It's like what? you want a cup holder in you car? hahaha

I have another CRKT McGinnis design, the "Tuition" and LOVE that one. Simple sheepsfoot flipper, but it's my favorite daily carry, now. So I snatched this one up when I saw your reviow.
Have to say, I like assisted knives, but this one is absolutely improved when you remove the spring. The spring (on MINE anyway) was too grabby, making it hard to deploy, and a little too much tension for my taste. (Twang!). Much better now.
Thanks for pointing out a good one!

Great review man, I donno if I'm sold in the looks of the knife though

@hugo2x - it took a bit for the looks to grow on me. The way they did the g10 overlay on the handle...that was/is still kinda iffy in the looks dept, but it's one of those things you can forgive when the rest of the knife feels nice.

Don't take it the wrong way, but when you said, "this is the kind of finish you see on....," I expected you to finsih with "real cheap chinese knives like this." It just gave me a chuckle when I thought I had finished your sentence and turned out to be wrong.
