http://www.FilmSensei.com - One of the long-standing problems of guerilla and indie filmmakers is the quest for exactly what kind of prop gun to use in their films. Anyone looking to make an action film of any kind (or a film on divorce) is going to need at least one prop gun of some kind and will almost always need more than one. To help guide you through this quest, Mat Nastos takes a look at all of the prop gun options open to filmmakers, including blank firing guns, Airsoft guns, Japanese Model Guns, Real Action Markers and even firing blank loads with real guns.

  • @Fuzzman109 you can go on ebay for them :D

  • see if only Australia had access to these, man id make some crazy films :) but no were stuck with dodgy cap guns from the $2 store :/

  • @MyJr29 Completely true in regards to the editing/compositing software. However, picking up a practical gun with blowback saves you a ton of trouble in post.

  • @stupidkids0 You can tweak the magazine mech to have it dry fire. Some people say not to do that because it will mess up the gun. While that's true, it will only matter if you're going to be using it as an Airsoft weapon as well as a prop. I only use mine as props and it works great.

  • @strazzy3 Not sure which one you're talking about, but the Airsoft ones are very easy to find.

  • @whofan04 All over. Airsoft shops, Amazon and eBay.

  • sweet ass, we don't got that in holland:p that last one you showed with the silver looks alot like one that i found in france for like 20 euros, springloaded, but it looks extremely real! very heavy, with safety on it and everything! love it!:D
