A trip to San Pedro Island, 17 miles west of San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. Also in the video are some shots of sea lions with lines entangled around their necks.

  • That is for sure but my buddy did eat that fish, it was his first time spearfishing. And lets all remember this it is probably far better to spear a smaller fish and let the bigger more mature ones continue to reproduce.

  • These are california Sea Lions and they rarely bite. During summer months (matting season) you need to be careful around the bulls. They can be aggressive. Juveniles will nip at your fins and I have even had a sea lion bite the end of my loaded, safety disengaged ,spear gun.
