  • This is early Janis. She had not yet become a member of commercial music. That was about the time of the Kosmic Blues Band. She was unhappy with the music and at times it was reflected in her voice, but mainly because the horns drown her out and the back up vocals did no justice to her songs. By the time she had Full Tilt Boogie behind her she was recording Pearl and happy in life and music. Then she was gone. Peace.
