A sneak-peek at stage adaptation of Playing with Fire: The Theo Fleury Story by Kirstie McLellan Day.
Based on the life of Theo Fleury.

A bold and honest one-man show about one of Calgary's brightest Flames, this stage adaptation of Theo Fleury's best --selling memoirs takes us on an emotional journey both on and off the ice. A retelling of the highs and lows of this complex anti-hero of our city and our time. We hear how he first laced on his skates during a dark childhood; we're there for his raise to fame, as well as his fall into the depths of addiction and despair; and we cheer him on as he discovers a new life and a hard-earned maturity.

Premiering at Alberta Theatre Projects as part of their 2011-2012 Season.
May 1 -- May 20, 2012

  • I really want to see this even though I live in Edmonton! Maybe I'll take a trip down to see it.
