Fantastic model, textures, and lighting! Did you use a physical sun and sky setup or HDRI lighting? Only reason I'm asking is because I'm currently working on a reel of my own and that lighting style would be awesome. Thanks.

Yep! A little bit after I finished school I ended up getting a job at an amazing video game studio called BioWare down in Austin, Texas. I'm currently working on Star Wars: The Old Republic :)

@justinsvs Is modelling for games studios demanding? or flexible, because im great at machinery, appliances, and architecture e.c.t. but my humans suck.

@PhotoShopChannel There are more jobs for Environment or Prop modelers than any other position in game art. The ratio of Environment/Prop/Vehicle modelers to Character guys is usually like 3:1 if not more. Character modelers are EXTREMELY competitive and cut throat. If you're looking to get into modeling for games learn high poly/sub-d modeling and how to make those high poly models into efficient low poly game ready models. There are a lot of resources online to learn this! Good luck! :)

@MrCMURRAY I've been doing 2D artwork my entire life. I had a BFA in Painting and Drawing before going to VFS. Prior to VFS I had very minimal 3D experience. But with the complete immersion experience that VFS was, I came out a little over a year later with the skill to land a job at BioWare. The previous degree and art experience helped me tremendously, but I lived 3D for about a year before being able to jump into the video game industry. Cheers!
