  • This guy should be a national celebrity, but sadly America doesnt appreciate track athletes very much. Dude is a beast. CANT WAIT FOR LONDON!

  • lebrons standing vert is not 44 inches dude, please..and if he had a 56 inch running vertical his chest would be at the rim when he went up to dunk. lol.

  • Track and field should get more attention in the US. With proper meet management at the pro level & with proper marketing I could see it becoming somewhat popular.

  • hes a monster...a small strong af!! high jumpin monster, ARE YOU MY DADDY!

  • @strafer If Spudd grew three inches I'm not sure if he would be dunking from 6 inches behind the free throw line. Spuds got hops but we're talking about an olympic gold medalist triple jumper.

  • @tala12 Muscle also requires more oxygen and it requires more of it to launch more weight which it adds to the body.

  • @DDeCouto There is a big difference between 5'8 and 5'11 when referring to dunking.

  • @decadyne I agree and disagree. I was ranked 37th in the world when I was an all american in college. I had a 40" vert, 11'2" standing long jump - am 6'4" and can dunk from the free throw line - So I understand what you are saying. But there are some NFL athletes that (even though they may not be able to static jump like me) can beat me in a decathlon(except for the pole vault, haha) on a few years training. I think I am pro caliber athlete - but those guys go where the money is - makessense

  • @DDeCouto I know that dunk...it's absurd. Not surprised his son is playing for the Memphis Grizzlies right now.

  • Lmao @ someone saying Clay is an awful hurdler and didnt even clear one. 13.6-13.7? Get out of here, the man is a beast

  • @HanzSygnal It makes me laugh that Chris Johnson's video of him running the 40 gets millions of views, yet theres a thousand track athletes that would embaress chris johnson in a race yet nobody knows their name. Everyone flips out when guys get their head to the rim in the NBA dunk contest, yet olympic high jumpers could put there nuts on the rim. It amazes me that bowling has it's own channel, yet track is NEVER on tv aside from NCAA's and the Olympics.

  • @HanzSygnal I watched a video of olympic triple jump gold medalist Mike Conely at a celebrity dunk contest, Conley stands just 5'11" and he EASILY dunked from at least 6 inches behind the free throw line, then he dunked again from right on the free line with two hands and hung on the rim, he made spudd webb look like a joke. It's also been said that Carl Lewis once dunked from a college 3pt line, which is 4 feet 9 inches behind the free throw line! Track athletes get no respect.
