When we separate in water,
I make hydrogen ions,
and she makes hydroxide ions.

Bronsted and Lowry
Said it a different way,
He gives H+ ions,
and I accept them, Hey

Hydrogen ions are important,
Because if we lose them,

binary, oxy, and carboxylic
