@cozita5607 thanks ... im mostly playing E7 and A minor on the 4th, 3rd and 2nd strings. for the E7 chord i play G# B and D on the 4th, 3rd and 2nd strings (so the 6th fret, 4th fret and 3rd) and the Aminor chord with a bar on the 5th fret ... i made a lesson about montunos ... check the intro section for the link best wishes

@lenis6 thats right the tonic is A minor but the chord progression is E7 to A minor

i`m just on my way understanding latin rhythms with tumbao, claves etc. and now want to play bass and guitar/piano for a song i'll write for my mother (she's addicted to salsa dancing with her cuban friends).
that really helped me out for that sound. so i can play a minor scale with a 7th taken from a major scale. sounds great!

i use and would suggest 'a harmonic minor'. that's a b c d e f g# ... also i use chromatics usually either g g# a or d d# e as leading tones to the next chord...i hope to have more videos up soon...thanks for asking
