She is really making progress fast!!! I believe that she has earned for you to get her a Yanagisawa! If she likes the Mark VI, then shell love the Yani 800 or 880. I know I love mine and wouldnt trade it for a Mark VI for a million dollars! :)

True. That's why we had this one tested by a professional before accepting it. The guy testing it didn't want to put it down. He loved it!
Thanks for your comment.

The Mark VI wasn't a reward for how well Briana already played. It was an incentive for her to strive to improve, & a demonstration of my confidence in her ability to do so.
Briana continues to learn and develop at an accelerated rate and her older sister Mikayla, is now "looking over her shoulder" to see if Briana is going to pass her up!
Lastly, the Mark VI is going up in value, instead of down like nearly every other sax on the market, making it a great investment as well.

Yeah she REALLY deserves a Mark VI...even if it is a late one...

Her sister Mikayla ("mikaylasax" on YouTube) got a Mark VI, and Briana's certainly no less talented than Mikayla. So Briana got a Mark VI too, even though she was 11. The saxes were an incentive to encourage them to practice! It has REALLY paid off.
Briana's now 13 and is Lead Tenor Sax for the 2008-2009 Jazz band at her school. And she's already being watched by the band director at Mikayla's high school, for possible addition in 2009, to the highly acclaimed DVHS Performance Jazz Ensemble.
